Professional Bio: Brittany started music in 2nd or 3rd grade on piano. Then in 4th or 5th grade, she stopped piano lessons and started on flute. In 9th grade, she decided to switch to french horn. Brittany started studying horn her with Dr. Jane Richter her senior year in high school. She also went to district band that year. At graduation, she received scholarships including: the Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, the Oxford Research Club Scholarship, The Brian O'Conner Music Award, the Grey-Nichols Post 1779 Veterans of Foreign Wars Scholarship, the Laura E. Pattinson Music Scholarship, the John Phillips Sousa MusicAward, and the Oxford Sports Boosters Scholarship. In college, Brittany is a member of the Golden Rams Marching Band, playing mellophone and next year she will be the drill section leader. She is also a member of the Symphonic Band. Outside of college, she performs with the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps.
