Professional Bio: Allie has always been involved in music. She has been singing since she was very young, and playing the flute since 4th grade. She really started getting involved in music in high school, which was also when she decided that that was what she wanted to major in. Allie took voice lessons in high school with Carl J. Nygard, and flute lessons with Alice Shomgard. She participated in County Band, Lebanon Valley College Honors Band, County Chorus, District Chorus and Regional Chorus. In high school she was a member of Concert Band, Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Flute Ensemble, Full Chorus, Women's Chorus and Choraliers. Allie was section leader of the flute section her junior and senior year, and student conductor of choir her senior year. She was named "Most Musical Senior" by her senior class, and recieved the "Outstanding Vocalist" award and the "Music Department" Award when she graduated. Allie took part in musicals her sophomore, junior and senior year. She also performs frequently in church while she is home. Here at West Chester she is currently involved in choir, flute ensemble, and Sigma Alpha Iota. Allie currently studies voice with Dr. Larry Dorminy.
