Leadership

Phi Sigma Pi believes that the ideal of leadership is best applied by promoting and advancing the welfare of humanity.

Alpha Epsilon chapter participates in a wide variety of service projects on campus and in the community to accomplish this goal.

West Chester University's annual Bear Fair, a collection of new and 'slightly loved' teddy bears for children hospitalized with HIV/AIDS and other illnesses began in 1997 with the initiative of a single student. It has been maintained as a student-run project and grown to where it is today with the help of Phi Sigma Pi's efforts, including local leadership and collections from chapters  across the nation. More information about the bear fair can be found at http://iws.wcupa.edu/bearfair.

Our chapter cares for the environment through our involvement with Marsh Creek State Park, Pennsylvania Resource Council, and Adopt-a-Block.

We assist community organizations such as the YMCA/YWCA, Police Athletic League, West Chester Department of Recreation. We participate in after-school programs for kids at Care Center for Christ.

We serve meals to the underprivileged at local churches, aid in canned food drives with the Salvation Army.

We raise money for multiple philanthropies through walks and other fundraising events. Our participation in Philadelphia Cares day earned campus recognition as an Outstanding Service Project of 2002.

We also donate time and money to our chapter's philanthropy, the ARC of Chester County, where some of our favorite events include holiday dances and talent shows.
