The RAMS Fight Song

Pride and Unity are established when a "Fight Song" is sang during Athletic or Special Events to cheer for the team. In 1937, two students: Paul Giersh and Ted Williams (Friars' Society Founding Brother) put together the "RAMS FIGHT SONG". The lyrics from this song were sang during all Athletic and Special Events. Band members joyously played the tunes and adapted the Olympic Theme to the beginning of the song.
The original lyrics were sang during football games until 1996, of course, "West Chester State" was replaced to "West Chester U". The "Chorus" section (which is now the current Fight song, was added during the 1970's). Below, you will find the lyrics to the song:
"Come on, you Rams fight on
For West Chester State
To take this game in great victory
So fight, fight, fight
Fight , fight, fight, fight!
For West Chester State, RAMS,
Fight! "
From Fall 1996 to present, the newer version "RAM fight Song" (which had been the chorus until 1996) had been abbreviated to say:
"With all your strength and might,
Hey win!!! We can!!!
So here we go again, Hey!!
Rah! Rah! Rah! Rah! West Chester U!"
