The 2006 Homecoming Parade route will consist of starting at Roslyn Ave, turning left onto Rosedale Avenue, right at South New Street. Afterwards, making a right on to Sharpless Street, left on to Church Street, then final right onto Rosedale Avenue. This year's grand marshalls will be Scott Palmer and Carol Schister. Te cost to have a float in the pararde is $35.00. Registration fee is $35.00 per group. The fee must be attached to the forms and given to the SSI Service Window by Monday, September 22nd @ 4pm. NO EXCEPTIONS After you have deposited your fee you must place your theme on the poster outside of Room 236 in Sykes Union. You must have the forms deposited before you sign the poster. You must sign up by Friday, September 22nd. Judging Criteria: Performance….15 points. Points allotted based on how well the group performed, clarity of dialogue (if any), synchronization of dance, overall entertainment value, excitement of the crowd, etc. Appearance…. 15 points. This judges the overall look of the group. Relevance…. 10 points. This judges the pertinence to the theme chosen. Originality/Creativity…. 10 points. This judges the imagination and inventive qualities of the group and their performance. Banner…. 15 points. This judges the relevance, appearance, and creativity. **** Since the theme “Live From West Chester, It’s Homecoming 2006!” is so broad, each group will choose a more specific sub-theme on which they will base their performance. No two groups can have the same theme and it is on a first come, first served basis. If your group happens to pick the same theme as another you will be told immediately and you can choose to either think of a new theme. Themes that are deemed close will not be allowed as well.
