Our History:
Alpha
Sigma Tau was founded on November 4, 1899 at Eastern Michigan University (at
the time it was called Michigan State Normal College). Locally, our chapter was given its charter
on March 29, 1969. Alpha Sigma Tau’s
open motto is “Active, Self-reliant, and Trustworthy”, a standard by which we
