The South Campus Apartment Complex was built in 1993.  Four of the eleven apartment buildings have been named for former West Chester University faculty members:  Benner Hall for William R. Benner, Antonowich Hall for Dr. Alexander Antonowich, Clokey Hall for John W. Clokey, and Leach Hall for Muriel Leach.

APARTMENT SET UP


The South Campus Apartment Complex offers semi-independent living with the benefits of WCU supported services. Residents can enjoy the beauty and tranquilly of the rolling hills of Chester County while still being only minutes away from North Campus and the classroom. The complex is located conveniently across the street from Farrell Stadium and Sturzbecker Hall. The apartment buildings are either two or three stories and offer three different living options for approximately 500 residents:

 

 

 

 

All apartments are fully furnished, carpeted and have a living/dining area, full kitchen and bathroom.

Each building has a centrally located laundry room. All apartments have central air conditioning and cable access. Parking is distributed throughout the complex and the University buses provide regular service between the complex and North Campus during the academic year.

 

All double bedrooms are approximately 12' X 14' and all single bedrooms are 8' 5" X 12', except for I002 and J008 which measure 10' X 12'.

Windows measure 54" high X 64" wide except for the single bedrooms D207, D208, F214 and F215 where they measure 54" high X 31" wide.

The kitchen is equipped with a range/oven, full size refrigerator/freezer, and ample cabinet space and breakfast nook.

The bathroom consists of a double sink, a private toilet and shower.

The living/dining room is furnished with a sofa, chair, and dining room table with matching chairs and coffee table. Each bedroom has a bed and desk or a loft combination, a desk chair, dresser and closet or wardrobe.

All bedrooms have cable jacks and LAN (local area network) access.

Cable TV -

 

 

Each Living Room has two cable hook-ups. Also, each individual room inside the apartment has a hook-up. This is included in the "Technology Fee"

Computer Facilities:

 

 

There are no computer facilities located at the South Campus Apartment Complex.

Elevators:

 

 

There is no elevator located in the buildings.

Kitchens:

 

 

There are kitchens located in the every apartment and a common area kitchen in The Clubhouse.

Laundry Rooms:

 

 

There is a laundry room located in every building’s courtyard area. Cost of Laundry is $1.00 per load. The Ram-Bucks feature has not been installed as of Fall 2004.

 

Photocopiers:

 

There are no photocopiers available to students on the South Campus Complex.

 

LAN Access

 

 

There is LAN Access available to students in the South Campus Complex. The fee for the internet has been taken care of in the cost of the "Technology Fee".

Study Rooms:

 

 

There is an all-purpose room in The Clubhouse.

All-Purpose Room:

 

 

An All-Purpose room is located in The Clubhouse. 

In this room, there is a large screen television with cable, pool table, a chess/checkers table and lounge furniture.

Television Lounges:

 

 

There is one TV lounge in the all-purpose room of The Clubhouse.

Fitness Room:

 

 

There is a fitness room located in The Clubhouse. House of the Fitness Center are the same as the Clubhouse.
