The Student Government Association of West Chester University is a representative governing body that promotes the welfare of all students and ensures the rights and privileges for all. Any full-time or part-time student is able to obtain one of the 50 senate seats available in SGA.
SGA offers many opportunities for each student’s voice to be heard throughout campus in order to make a positive impact on student life. By interacting during senate and committee meetings, student can learn answers to questions about the university. While learning to encompass a positive, proactive attitude, students learn the proper actions to make a difference on every student issue.
Throughout the year, SGA will offer a senator retreat each semester for new and returning senators, offer opportunities to attend the Board of Student Government Presidents in order to interact with other students in the state system of higher education in Pennsylvania, hold open discussions about student issues weekly, and teach every student how to use the power of their voice and actions to make a positive impact at WCU.
