Welcome
to the West Chester University Philosophical Society!
The society (the philosophy club) is student-run organization,
including in its general membership undergraduate students who major or minor in
philosophy, graduates in WCU's MA program, the
faculty of the philosophy department and its alumni. The
philosophy club is open to any student interested in becoming
an active member, regardless of major, as well as community

interdepartmental, during the academic year, sometimes in
conjunction with official events of the Philosophy Department.
Current members of the society hold a variety of philosophical
interests including but not limited to: history of philosophy,
metaphysics, ancient philosophy, phenomenology,
existentialism, philosophy of
science, philosophy of religion, philosophy of mind, ethics,
aesthetics, and epistemology.
