Description: The primary function of the
WCU Emergency Medical Services is to provide pre-hospital emergency
care and first aid to all members of the campus
community. A secondary function is to provide educational programs
and resources to the campus community on topics such as first aid
and CPR.
EMS at WCU is recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a quick
response service (QRS) and is staffed by students who are certified on the state
and national level as emergency medical technicians, first responders, and observers.
Certification courses
in all areas of emergency medical care are available to members.
