Description: Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing, is dedicated to improving the health of people worldwide through increasing the scientific base of nursing practice. Members are nursing scholars committed to the pursuit of excellence in clinical practice, education, research, and leadership. The society’s 260,000 scholars live and work in 72 countries and nations worldwide and are inducted into Sigma Theta Tau through one of its 400 honor societies located at colleges and universities in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada, South Korea, Taiwan, and Australia. Xi Delta chapter at West Chester University is the 338th chapter, chartered in 1994. Its membership of over 150 nurses sponsors two scholarly meetings a year and is actively involved in regional and national meetings.
