Description: Fraternities and sororities that are historically
African American and/or Latin American, and are officially recognized by
WCU comprise the Black and Latino Greek Council (BLGC). This governing body
coordinates and plans developmental and social programming in an effort
to unite the members of the BLGC and the entire Greek community. All chapters
have specific requirements for membership. Minimum requirements include
at least one full semester of college course work and a 2.0 cumulative grade
point average. Letters of interest regarding membership are filed with each
individual chapter. All membership intake processes involving BLGC fraternities
and sororities must first be approved by the director of Greek life and
student organizations.
