Description: The History Club exists for all students—regardless
of major—who are interested in history. The world contains diverse
opportunities to explore history, and our goal is to introduce them
by hosting professors, museum educators and curators, and others involved
in the various aspects of historical preservation, education, and research.
Through the club, students meet WCU’s Department of History faculty
and learn about various courses offered each semester. We sponsor off-campus
events, such as trips to Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and the Pennsylvania
Renaissance Faire. The History Club also sponsors Phi Alpha Theta,
the National Honors Society for historians.
