Description: The Graduate Social Work Student Association
(GSWSA) was created in 1999 to recognize that education must not be
confined within academic walls, but be based on a total life experience.
The organization’s main aim is to initiate activities that will
enhance the education experience and benefit students and the community
at large. All students enrolled in the M.S.W. program at West Chester
University are eligible for membership. The GSWSA commits itself to
promote the interest and activities within the social work discipline,
facilitate the communication between students and faculty, strengthen
the professional identity of student social workers, and encourage
students to participate in community activities.
