Mission Statement

The Office of Student Leadership & Involvement is committed to the following values in order to further develop and promote the ideas of community.

Partnership: We recognize the importance of establishing partnerships with students and student organizations in a manner that increases trust and confidence. These partnerships enable us to identify, inspire, develop, recognize and reward community members of our campus.

Integrity: Integrity is essential in order for us to connect and impact community members. Our success is measured by the respect, trust and credibility we earn from those we collaborate with and those we serve.

Diversity: We acknowledge the uniqueness created in each individual. Every community member is worthy of respect and deserves fair treatment and the opportunity to succeed to the fullest extent of his/her potential. Achievement: We are builders and motivators. We are focused on continual improvement, progress and achievement of individual and group goals. We encourage and support creativity and innovation.

Civility: We encourage community members to develop a commitment to mutual respect, social responsibility to the campus and community at large. We assist community members in their development to become active and involved members of today's society.

Life-Long Learning: We are advocates of the West Chester University community. We strive to create an arena of thoughts and ideas that produce a wide opportunity for human services. We strive to make community members feel welcome and a sense of belonging. We provide direction and commitment to the personal development of our community members. We encourage expression of views and a healthy exchange of ideas and opinions as well as guidance for those in leadership roles. We respect and hope to inspire our community members and appreciate being a part of their West Chester experience.
