What is your favorite thing about WCU? I love the campus - it's not too big or too small. There are so many people here that you can meet someone new every day, but it still has a small college atmosphere.

What makes you a successful leader? My desire for self-actualization - I want to do everything that I possibly can.

How has/how do you expect your experience in student clubs and organizations to benefit you outside WCU? The interpersonal and public speaking skills that I have acquired through my involvement on campus will help me enormously in the future with job interviews and in a job setting.

What advice can you give to new students to make the most of their time at WCU? Have fun, get involved, and live every day to its fullest - your time here will go quickly.

What advice would you give a new student about leadership and involvement? The things you learn from being a student leader will be more beneficial to you than anything you learn from any class, such as networking and the ability to work well with others.

What is the most important quality of an effective leader? This is simple. Organization and time management are crucial in order to reduce stress as much as possible and not feel too 'spread thin.' Also, the ability to delegate responsibility is extremely important to student leader, especially organization presidents.

Who is the leader you most look up to or has influenced you the most? I would have to say Jackie Gorski. She was my SGA Vice President in 2003-04, and also took on many other leadership roles. Through it all, she remained positive and optimistic and had an amazing effect on others.

What has been your best experience as a WCU leader? I have had so many awesome experiences here at WCU that it is so difficult to pick only one, so there is a three-way tie.
1. Winning the election for SGA President was an incredible experience. The entire campaign leading up to the announcement of election results were also great. It allowed me to meet and interact with hundreds of students on campus.
2. Also, being president of the Inter-Greek Council has given me the opportunity to be a leader in the WCU Greek system and represent the Greek community on, as well as off, campus.
3. Winning the Homecoming 2005 crown was a surreal experience. I am proud to be the first Greek male in over a decade to win.

What are your plans for after you graduate? First and foremost, I would like to secure a job that allows me to pay off all of my student loans as quickly as possible. I would like a job that gives me an opportunity to work with others and possibly travel. I have an interest in international business and would like to pursue that somehow.
